H.264... the latest thing?

H.264 is the latest advance in digital video compression... unless you have an L&L system. We have been using H.264 since it's inception and were wondering when the rest of the world was going to catch up.

In the simplest of terms (because that's how I understand the world) H.264 allows for the clearest recorded image possible for your surveillance footage. You'll see the term pop up a lot in the future in many new video applications.

Another feature of L&L systems that is extremely beneficial is "dual streaming".

Before it's inception, you were forced to record at the same rate that you wanted to view your cameras over the internet. Dual streaming allows you to record at a high FPS (frames per second) and view your streaming cameras at a lower FPS.

This is crucial if you are forced to deal with less than blazing internet speed, which believe it or not is more common than you would think in these United States.
